Changing the Name Servers of your domain name to our Name Servers

For the Domain Forwarding Service to work, it is essential that all queries for your domain name should reach our Domain Forwarding Server, which would further redirect it to the destination you have specified. Thus, it is vital that after you have activated the Service for a particular domain name, you need to change the Name Servers for this domain name to our Name Servers.

To know what Name Servers you need to use

  1. Proceed to the Domain Forwarding Service interface. 2

  2. Here, you would find under the Nameserver Information section, the list of Name Servers you need to set for your domain name.

Note
  • If the domain name is registered through Web Names Australia and the Name Servers are not the same as those required to use the Domain Forwarding Service, the system will display a Auto-update the nameservers for me button. Clicking this button will automatically update the Name Servers.

  • If the domain name is registered through Web Names Australia and is using the Name Servers required to use the Domain Forwarding Service, these Name Servers will be displayed for informational purpose.

  • If the domain name is not registered with Web Names Australia, the Name Servers required to use the Domain Forwarding Service will be displayed. You need to point your domain name to these Name Servers through the domain name management console provided by your domain name registration service provider.
